At FDTBOOKING, we are committed to offering professional, fast-tracked, and reliable driving lesson and test booking services. Our mission is to make your journey to becoming a licensed driver as smooth and stress-free as possible. We act as a dedicated agency, connecting learners with certified DVSA Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) while managing every detail of your booking, from theory and practical test scheduling to personalized support throughout the process. By using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Service Scope & Relationship:
When you use FDTBOOKING, you enter into two relationships: one with us as your booking agent and another directly with a self-employed ADI who delivers your lessons. FDTBOOKING facilitates and manages test bookings and lesson arrangements but does not deliver lessons ourselves. Each ADI is a self-employed professional, DVSA-certified, and operates independently from FDTBOOKING.
Definitions:
"You" refers to the pupil using our service.
"We", "Us" refers to FDTBOOKING.
"ADI" refers to the self-employed Approved Driving Instructor.
"DVSA" refers to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
Service Categories & Descriptions:
Practical Driving Test Booking, FDTBOOKING offers a fast and simplified way to book DVSA practical driving tests. We help learners secure earlier test slots than typically available via the public DVSA system. Our agents monitor cancellation opportunities and reallocate tests efficiently to reduce wait times for our clients.
Car Driving Lessons
We provide driving lesson services through our network of DVSA-approved instructors. Lessons are customized to your learning pace, confidence level, and schedule. Whether you are a complete beginner or a returning learner, our instructors are trained to help you progress with ease.
Intensive Driving Courses
Our intensive courses are ideal for learners who wish to pass quickly. These fast-track programs are designed to get you test-ready in just 5–10 days, depending on your availability and skill level. These courses include lesson planning, instructor pairing, and test booking.
Course & Test Bookings :
By booking with FDTBOOKING, you authorise us to act on your behalf for test arrangements. This includes the use of your driving licence details to search, book, amend, or cancel practical and theory test appointments using the DVSA Online Business Service (OBS) platform. FDTBOOKING may replace your email with its own to receive notifications, after which you’ll be promptly informed.
FDTBOOKING offers intensive, semi-intensive, and flexible driving lesson plans tailored to your needs. We may offer available tests originally booked by another candidate who has postponed their slot. All bookings are confirmed via email. Any modifications or rescheduling must be communicated at least 10 working days prior to your test to avoid additional charges.
Administration Fee:
The FDTBooking administration fee covers essential services, including but not limited to:
Matching and connecting you with a DVSA-approved ADI
Booking and managing your practical driving test
Providing end-to-end customer support throughout your course
Please note: The administration fee is non-refundable under all circumstances once your booking has been confirmed.
Payment Terms :
When booking a test with FDTBOOKING, your total fee includes:
The DVSA test fee (£62 for weekdays / £75 for weekends or holidays)
A non-refundable admin fee based on demand and test urgency
Payment can be made by using bank transfer or any debit/credit card you wish.
Example Cost Breakdown:
Weekday test: £62 (DVSA fee) + (Admin Fee)
Weekend/public holiday test: £75 (DVSA fee) + (Admin Fee)
Refund Policy:
As per our refund policy, the administration fee is non-refundable in all cases. If you booked a practical driving test appointment with us, and you cancelled your test after the DVSA deadline (Last date to cancel/reschedule), no refund is available from DVSA or FDTBOOKING. If you need to cancel your driving test booking for any personal reason, please email us with your request. Kindly ensure that you inform us before the DVSA's official last date of cancellation or deadline. Once our team receives your request, we will proceed to cancel your test and refund the DVSA fee to your original payment card. As a reminder once again, admin fee is not refundable.
If you wish to change or reschedule your practical driving test date, contact us at least 5 working days before the official last date of cancellation by DVSA. You will not be charged the full admin fee again, but a rescheduling fee of £40 applies. You might upgrade the admin fee based on the location you are seeking for your convenience. Refunds are only provided for the DVSA test fee if, You cancel your test before the DVSA deadline, DVSA refunds the fee to us. Once we receive the refund from the DVSA, we will process your partial refund (DVSA portion only) to your original payment method.
Refund Policy for Driving Lessons and Intensive Courses
If you need to cancel a scheduled driving lesson, a minimum notice period of 48 hours must be provided directly to your allocated Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may result in the lesson being forfeited. For intensive driving courses and practical test bookings, a minimum written notice of 15 working days (or three weeks) must be given to FDTBooking and your allocated ADI. This allows us to reschedule your course and test appointment accordingly. If your course is postponed, paused, or rescheduled for any reason, FDTBooking reserves the right to adjust your course fees in line with the latest pricing. Failure to notify us within the required timeframes will result in the loss of your course, test, or lesson fees.
Instructor Conduct & Safety
Our partnered ADIs have the right to cancel a lesson or prevent a test attempt if they reasonably believe the pupil is underprepared, under the influence, or behaving in a way that risks safety. ADIs follow DVSA’s Code of Conduct. Misconduct, abuse, or any inappropriate behaviour towards instructors or staff may result in termination of service without refund.
Cancellations & Adjustments
If you wish to cancel a driving test booked through us, you must do so before the DVSA's last date to cancel to receive a refund of the DVSA fee. Our admin fees remain non-refundable. For lesson cancellations or rescheduling, you must give your ADI at least 48 hours’ notice. Failure to do so may result in a full charge for the missed session.
Important Note: Before cancelling your Practical test, we encourage you to consult with us first. Our team can help guide you toward the best option to keep your journey toward getting your licence as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Data Protection:
At FDTBOOKING, we are committed to protecting your personal data in full compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We only collect the information necessary to deliver our services—such as your name, contact details, and provisional licence number—and we use it solely for booking and managing your driving tests, allocating instructors, and providing support. Your data is stored securely, never shared for marketing purposes, and only accessed by authorised personnel. We use your information with your clear consent and you may withdraw this at any time. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. If you cancel our service or opt out, your data will be removed from our system promptly. Usage of personal data:
If you are a direct customer and have completed a fast-track driving test booking with us, and subsequently fail your practical driving test, our system may automatically use your provisional driving licence information to secure another test appointment immediately after receiving the test result. If we successfully reserve a new practical test appointment through the DVSA and you agree to proceed with it, payment will then become due. However, if you find and secure a suitable test date independently—either through the official DVSA website or any third-party service—you are free to cancel the booking we reserved on your behalf without notifying us. To opt out of this fast-track test booking service, you must notify FDTBOOKING by emailing us at [Email Address]. Upon receiving your request, your personal data will be removed from our booking system, and no further theory or practical test bookings will be made using your licence number.
Legal Authorisation
By accepting our Terms & Conditions, you authorise FDTBOOKING to act as your exclusive agent with DVSA and any associated ADIs. We may book, cancel, pay for, or modify driving test appointments on your behalf, and contact DVSA using your licence data strictly for booking purposes.
Liability & Disclaimer
FDTBOOKING shall not be liable for test cancellations due to weather, examiner availability, or other external factors beyond our control. We also cannot guarantee a pass result for any theory or practical test, nor can we be held responsible for actions or outcomes involving self-employed instructors.
Code of Conduct & Behaviour
FDTBooking enforces a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse, harassment, or violence — verbal or physical — directed at our staff or affiliated ADIs. In such cases, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without notice, and your deposit will be non-refundable. Additionally, up to 100% of the remaining course fees may be retained to cover costs already incurred.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be handled exclusively within this jurisdiction.
Complaints Procedure
If you are dissatisfied with the service provided by your ADI, we encourage you to raise your concerns before your course concludes. You may lodge a formal complaint by emailing both your ADI and FDTBooking at [info@fdtbooking.co.uk]. Your complaint should include specific details: Date and nature of the issue Names of relevant staff or instructors Supporting documentation or screenshots, if applicable Your ADI is required to acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 3 working days and provide a formal written response within 10 working days. If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you may escalate the matter to the DVSA ADI Registrar by emailing: [instructorconduct@dvsa.gov.uk].
